A Salute to the Veterans

I posted this over at JasonGrimes.com, but if you didn’t see it, it applies to GrimesTribe too.
I was watching ESPN’s First Take Sports this morning and they had Tom Selleck of Magnum PI on my show since he is a former Sgt. during the Vietnam era. He said it best…something to the effect of “They just served, and we need to thank them [our troops] regardless of how we feel personally about the conflict” I totally agree.

Today, I wanted to take a moment and thank my Veteran Hero’s that I know personally:

  • My Grandfather Grimes, Lefty served in the Navy during WW II
  • My Grandfather Peterson, Marlin served in the Army during WW II
  • My Father, Ray served during the Vietnam era
  • My Good Friend Randy and his Wife served after school in various positions as Air Force Officers

Thank you.

You deserve more than 1 day, you should be in our thoughts every day.

Now, it’s my responsibility (and yours) to teach my son the same level of respect.
