I was watching ESPN’s First Take Sports this morning and they had Tom Selleck of Magnum PI on my show since he is a former Sgt. during the Vietnam era. He said it best…something to the effect of “They just served, and we need to thank them [our troops] regardless of how we feel personally about the conflict” I totally agree.
- My Grandfather Grimes, Lefty served in the Navy during WW II
- My Grandfather Peterson, Marlin served in the Army during WW II
- My Father, Ray served during the Vietnam era
- My Good Friend Randy and his Wife served after school in various positions as Air Force Officers

You deserve more than 1 day, you should be in our thoughts every day.
Now, it’s my responsibility (and yours) to teach my son the same level of respect.
