Whistler!

After a long car ride, we made it and Jake did so good! We got upgraded at The Four Seasons to a 2 bedroom suite, it seriously is 500 sq ft bigger than our house!

Not bad for a little guy’s first trip to Whistler.

Jake had his first round of shots today and he did great! He weighs 12 pounds and is 24 inches. We are so proud of little man.

It was Felix Hernandez pitching against the Yankees. Jess was a little nervous of the noise and the crowds, but Jake was just fine. We only made it through the 4th inning. We got to see Ichiro, Jeter and A-Rod and Griffey.

We took a big walk today in the new stroller and Jake loved it! He was out in a flash.

Forgot to mention yesterday that Jake found his hands and was sucking on them vigorously.

The squash in the pic below is in someone’s front yard and is the size of a huge beach ball!

It’s official, the Cave Singers was Jake’s 1st show!

From what we saw and heard there was close to 700 people out for The Cave Singers performance at Easy Street Queen Anne. Truth be told the 3 of us didn’t last long, but it was a cool little first! We also picked up their new LP Welcome Joy, but that’s another post.

Baby Shower – May 16, 2009

Jake was showered with lots of love at the baby shower on Saturday by both those that were able to attend and those that were there in spirit.  We feel so blessed to have so many awesome people in our life to welcome baby Jake into the world!

The shower was hosted by Julie Chase at her home in Wallingford (Seattle neighborhood) and by my sister, Melissa Cannon.  Julie did a wonderful job bringing all of the details to life in my favorite colors of blue and brown, providing guests with yummy teas, scrumptious foods and Trophy Cupcakes!  Aunt Melissa worked diligently with help from the fam on party favors of various teas complete with a poem and a funny parenting saying on each tea bag.

We had a great time playing celebrity bingo and everyone wrote messages on diapers to provide a good chuckle for the 3 am diaper changes.
