Jake Gets His 1st Dog – Lucy
Family Firsts PetsNot really should how any of this really happened. We were talking about another pet after losing Blue and we knew Jaker’s needed something he could play with, but wouldn’t be too big since we aren’t about to move a large dog into 1100sq ft. So out of nowhere, Jess woke up and started looking at the Human Society and there she was. There was no picture. Just a name and a breed – Lucy, Miniature Pincher. We figured with Jess’s grandmother’s name and us not likely to have a daughter we had to do it. She’s a leaper, and took to us incredibly well even though they made it difficult to leave, but that’s another store. When we saw her and she lunged towards Jake and I. I didn’t need to pick her up. I didn’t need to hear much, we were in love. Jake and Lucy are doing very well together and as Jake says “I think I’m happy.” Truth is, dad is too. I needed a buddy.
Thank you my love [Jess]
Better photos to come!
Jake’s 1st 2 Weeks at New School
Family Firsts PreschoolIf you haven’t heard, Jake is in Bear cubs class (4 year olds) preschool at Bellevue Presbyterian Church. It’s an outstanding facility and it’s the best school he’s attended so far. Just check out the photos and you will understand why Jake like’s it there so much.
We miss our little man tho.

1st Time Camping #ThanksMommaJess
Family FirstsJess was our fearless leader. She picked out the spot, navigated us there, paid for the permit, set instructions on the tent and showed us where the water and the bathrooms. Honestly, a great time looking back, but very hard with me and a four year old. I didn’t think I was so bad, but I imagine that’s not how it really played out. Thanks to the wonderful wife for making this happen!
