Our House from the Water

See the little yellow house peeking through the trees? The one above and slightly to the left of the white home on the water? That’s our rental house through the end of the year. A basic little home that will be torn down for the next millionaire that wants a view. It was fun (and cold in the winter) while it lasted. We have a wonderful view and cheap rent but excited for a better house. Hopefully the next stop will be a home we can buy and Jake will grow up in.

Lessened learned. The best school in the area is not necessarily the best school for your child. Even in kindergarten kids know and judge each other on material worth. Thankfully Jake’s closest friend is also one of the most grounded.

Weekend news – Grady

Every Monday morning at school Jake has to report what he did over the weekend. This one is one of my favorites.

Translation:

I went to Spokane to see my cousin Grady. I had the best time of my life and I also had a squirt gun fight.

First overnight

And made it until 8:45 pm before picking him up to go home. Which was perfectly fine by us! He missed his family and as Jake says…family is more important than friends!!!
